Oct. 08-12

Dear Parents,

 

This week we will be having many amazing activities. We will begin learning about color purple. We will be working on color purple activities. The vocabulary words we are going to be focusing on are: grapes, plum, violet, eggplant, balloon.

If you have any items at home that are color purple, send them over with your child and we will be discussing them in class, we will display them on a table and we will return them back on Friday. The kids get excited to bring things from home.

On Friday the students will have ¨Purple dress day¨ Please have your child wear a purple piece of clothing. Thanks a lot for your involvement.

In our Science unit we will be talking about our FIVE SENSES. We will continue with this unit this week. Some of the vocabulary words we will be learning this week are: touch, smell, sight, hear, and taste. If you have anything about five Senses that you are willing to share with us, we would really appreciate it.

 Tomorrow Wednesday Oct. 10thwe will have our field trip, to el Banco central de Honduras. We will be leaving at 9:15 and we will be back by 11:30. Parents are more than welcome to join us.

Next Friday Oct. 19th  we will be having Parent-Teacher Conferences. You will be getting a note into your child´s backpack stating the time that we have assigned each one of you.  If you are unable to attend at the time that has been assigned for you let us know and we will work it out at a different time.
