April 09th-13th

Dear Nursery Parents,

Resultado de imagen para letter B clipartThis week we are going to continue working with the alphabet. And recognizing the letters with their sound. We will be continue working with letter "Bb", reviewing all the vocabulary words, learned last week: Boy, bear, ball, bat, bee.

If you have any items at home that begin with this letter, send them over with your child and we will be discussing them in class, we will display them on a table and we will return them back on Friday. The kids get excited to bring things from home.

In math, will continue working with numbers. We will work on how to represent and recognize numbers using tally marks, ten frames, name of the number, one-to-one correspondence. This week we will be working with number 3.










Our Nursery Rhyme this week is: “Baa, baa sheep”
I am attaching you the link of the video of this song we will be learning throughout the week. We will learn two versions of this nursery rhyme. Just a little tip to have fun at home listening and acting out our song.

In our Science unit we will be continue learning about Ocean Animals. We are going to be discussing the different types of ocean animals. Children will get the chance to name them and identify creatures that live under the sea. Some of the vocabulary words we will be focusing are: shark, whale, jellyfish, crab, clown fish, dolphin, octopus, sea horse, turtle, stingray. If you have any books or posters, ideas or any other material that you would like to share with us it would be greatly appreciated.
