September 10-14 Review week

Dear Parents:

This week we will be reviewing the vocabulary of the colors we have learned so far since the beginning of the school year. Which are colors: red, blue, yellow and green.  So this days kids can bring toys of this colors to practice and review this coming week.
Thanks a lot for all your involvement. 

This week we will be working our first author study which will be about Laura Numeroff.
Laura Numeroff is an amazing author of the books like the ones we will be studying this week. Her books are great to encourage sequencing, cause and effect and so many more great lessons. The best of it is that she writes in a very fun and friendly way to get children engaged to her stories.

Some of the stories for this week are: 

 

In our Social Studies unit we will be talking about this gorgeous country HONDURAS. Some of the vocabulary words we will be learning this week are: Map, Macaw, Lempiras(money), White tail deer, Pine Tree, Flag, Orquidia, Code of Arm. If you have anything about Honduras that you are willing to share with us, we would really appreciate it. You are more than welcome to come into the classroom and talk about this beautiful country, show pictures, or even share a typical food with the kids. Let us know in advance if you would like to do a special activity with the children.

                                                       

Midterm Reports will be sent this coming Thursday, September 13^th  into the folder, so, Please go over them, sign them and send them back to school. If you would like a conference, and one was not requested, please contact me or call the school to set up an appointment.

Next week: kids will come until Thursday, and it will be half day they´ll be dismissed at 11:45 a.m, Thursday and Monday will be the Holidays of the Independence day!


This next coming Thursday we will be having our "Desayuno Catracho" so we will be requesting for your help, of the following things:

8 Baleadas partidas por la mitad- Sra. Karine Jaar
2 Bolsas de roquillas- Mrs. Ashley
30 Espumillas pequeñas- Sra. Catherine Chinchilla
! litro de limonada - Sra. Sandra Gamero
