Week of Nov. 2-6

Dear Parents,

This week we will begin learning about color brown. We will be working on color black activities. The vocabulary words we are going to be focusing on are: chocolate, mud, monkey, horse, and coconut.

If you have any items at home that are color brown, send them over with your child and we will be discussing them in class, we will display them on a table and we will return them back on Friday. The kids get excited to bring things from home.

On Friday the students will have ¨Brown dress day¨ Please have your child wear a brown piece of clothing. Thanks a lot for your involvement.

Our Nursery Rhyme this week is: “Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater"

 I am attaching you the link of the video of this song we will be learning throughout the week. We will learn two versions of this nursery rhyme. Just a little tip to have fun at home listening and acting out our song.

In our Social Studies unit we will start learning this week talking about our Pumpkin and Fall. Some of the vocabulary words we will be learning this week are: pumpkin, fall, leaves, scarecrow and corn. If you have anything about this topic that you are willing to share with us, we would really appreciate it.




For this topic and for Thanksgiving we would like to make many activities with pumpkins, such as carving a pumpkin, playing man games with pumpkin seed, have the opportunity to taste pumpkin pie, and much more. I would really appreciate, if you can find a pumpkin and donate it to our class and have some more fun with this particular food. Thank you for your involvement.
